GOOGLE MAKES AN ANNOUNCEMENT
Meanwhile, it is known by the homepage operators that you should switch to HTTPS / SSL. But not all homepages have been changed yet.
Google has set itself the goal that all homepages are switched to SSL-encrypted transmission. The browser manufacturers are also involved and clearly indicate when a website is not secure. In the longer term, it should also lead to disadvantages in the ranking.
WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT FOR GOOGLE? AND WHY WOULD IT BE IMPORTANT FOR ME?
Previously, the connection between the web server and the visitor was unencrypted. Most forms, even registration forms, were unencrypted. So if someone logs on using such a form, then username and password will be sent as normal text to the web server. A hacker can now access this data anywhere and thus gain access to sensitive data.
CHANGE TO ENCRYPTED CONNECTION
Most web hosts offer free certificates. If you wish, we will do the conversion for you.
